Studio Policies
Thank you for supporting my small handmade ceramic studio. Every piece is carefully handcrafted, and every class is designed to provide a relaxed and enjoyable creative experience. Please take a moment to read the following policies before purchasing or booking.
Ceramic Class Bookings
Cancellations & Rescheduling
* If you cancel your booking more than 24 hours before your class, you may reschedule your booking or request a full refund.
* Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the class are not eligible for a full refund. You may choose to receive a 50% refund or reschedule your booking once, subject to availability.
* If you do not attend your booked class without notifying the studio, no refund or rescheduling will be provided.
Arriving Late
arrive on time for your class. Late arrivals may reduce your class time, as sessions finish at the scheduled time out of respect for other participants and bookings.
Children’s Classes
Children attending classes remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian before and after the class. I aim to provide a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
Ceramic Making Process
Ceramics are handmade, and each piece goes through multiple stages of drying, firing and glazing.
Although every care is taken throughout the process, clay is a natural material and unexpected issues can occur. Pieces may occasionally crack, warp or break during drying, firing or glazing. Unfortunately, these are natural risks of ceramics and are beyond my control.
For this reason, I cannot guarantee the success of every piece created during a class and cannot offer refunds or replacements for items affected during the ceramic-making process.
Handmade Ceramic Purchases
Each ceramic piece is individually handmade. Small variations in shape, colour, glaze and texture are part of the handmade nature of my work and make every piece unique.
Please note that colours may vary slightly due to screen settings and photography.
Shipping & Delivery
All orders are carefully packaged to help ensure they arrive safely.
Once your parcel has been handed to the shipping carrier, I am not responsible for delays, lost parcels or damage that occurs during transit.
If your order arrives damaged, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery with clear photographs of:
* the damaged item
* the packaging
* the shipping label
I will assess each situation individually and work with you to find the most appropriate solution where possible.
Returns & Refunds
Due to the handmade nature of my ceramics, I do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind.
If you believe your item has a manufacturing fault, please contact me within 7 days of receiving your order so I can assess the issue.
Care Instructions
To help your ceramics last for many years:
* Handle with care.
* Avoid sudden temperature changes.
* Follow any care instructions provided with your purchase.
Photography
Photos may occasionally be taken during classes for social media, my website or promotional purposes. If you prefer not to appear in any photographs, please let me know before the class.
Collection of Finished Work
Finished pieces should be collected within 3 months of notification. Due to limited storage space, pieces not collected within this time may be donated or responsibly disposed of.
Clothing & Safety
Clay can be messy, so please wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for your safety while in the studio.
Breakages After Collection
Once your ceramic pieces have been collected or delivered, they become the responsibility of the customer. I cannot accept responsibility for accidental damage after collection or delivery.
Right to Refuse Service
I reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings where necessary to ensure a safe, respectful and enjoyable environment for all participants.
By booking a class or purchasing from my website, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Studio Policies.
